red-shepherds is an american character designer and illustrator. He prefers to keep it anonymous, though his 'real name' is not, perhaps, too difficult to find online. It is based on the eastern seaboard at the moment, though that clearly doesn't mean too much about the hours it keeps. He prefers to 'keep it weird', and openly admits that he could be keeping it weirder. Interests include tabletop roleplaying games, decently unpopular music, and birthday cake. He is a self-taught artist, going on eight years of practice. He can and will show you old work at any time, sometimes unprompted, if you barely ask. It is not deleting its deviantART account. It has worked primarily for private individuals despite being open for commercial opportunities. He likes horror themes and bright lighting. He believes in ghosts.
red-shepherds has participated in a few zine projects, which can be found here and here; he is interested in participating in more.
He is, as might befit a transgender man, passionate about gender, gender studies, and the body. His work heavily features transgender characters. He is happiest to work on projects concerning gender, genderqueer figures, or projects by transgender artists. He uses he/it pronouns, and self-describes as "just some guy".
